1. Who this covers

This policy covers maotaxiexpress.com.cy (this website) and describes how Mao Taxi Express, Ismet Pasa 6, Limassol 3042, Cyprus, handles information when you use it. It doesn't cover WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram or Facebook themselves — those are governed by their own providers' privacy policies once you leave this site.

2. What we actually collect

This is a simple booking-request website, not an account-based platform. We don't run our own server-side database of visitors. In practice:

• Trip planner / quote form: the pickup, drop-off, date, passenger, vehicle and payment details you enter are used only to build a WhatsApp message addressed to us. Nothing is stored on a server when you fill in the form — it's sent directly from your device to WhatsApp when you tap "Send".
• WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, phone: once you message or call us through these channels, we hold that conversation and any details you share (name, phone number, pickup/drop-off, etc.) for as long as reasonably needed to arrange your trip and for basic bookkeeping.
• Browser storage: we use your browser's local storage (not tracking cookies) to remember your theme (light/dark), language choice and whether you've dismissed the cookie notice. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

3. Cookies & similar technology

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses browser local storage — technically not a cookie, but covered here for clarity — to remember your theme and language preference, and to remember that you've seen the cookie notice. You can clear this at any time via your browser's site settings.

4. Third-party services used on this site

To provide the map picker, address search and fare estimate, your browser makes direct requests to these third-party services when you use those features. Each may log standard technical data such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies:

• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — address search and map tiles.
• Leaflet — the map library itself (loaded from a public CDN, unpkg.com).
• OSRM (Project OSRM) — driving-distance calculation for the fare estimate.
• Google Maps — the embedded map on the "Find us" section of the homepage.
• Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.

If you use the "Use my location" button in the map picker, your device's geolocation is requested via your browser's own permission prompt and used only to centre the map — it is not sent to us unless you go on to confirm that location in a booking.

5. Your rights

As this site mostly just hands you off to WhatsApp/phone rather than storing data itself, most privacy requests relate to conversations you've had with us directly.
